Troop 262 Dashboard privacy policy

Troop 262 Dashboard supports troop attendance, rosters, advancement and troop activities for authorized members and families.

Google sign-in

When you choose Continue with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status and basic profile information. We use this information to authenticate you and connect you to your approved troop roster account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, contacts or Google Drive files. Signing in does not grant administrative access.

Troop information

The dashboard stores roster names, contact details, family links, roles, patrol assignments, photos, badge identifiers, attendance and advancement information provided by troop administrators or members. We use these records to operate troop features and apply account permissions. Authorized users can view information permitted by their access; approved meeting displays can show attendance, names, photos, troop roles and attendance streaks.

Location and device storage

If you choose location-based manual check-in, your browser requests location permission so the service can check your proximity to the selected meeting location. Badge check-in does not require phone location permission. The service uses sign-in cookies and browser storage for sessions, preferences and locally saved attendance awaiting synchronization.

Service providers and security

Google provides optional account authentication, and Zoho provides account-link email delivery. We do not sell member information or use it for advertising. Access controls protect troop records, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Corrections, removal and retention

Contact the troop administrator to correct records, remove a Google account connection, or request account and personal-data deletion. Attendance and advancement records may be retained for troop operations and historical reporting; backups may retain earlier copies until replaced. Parents or guardians may contact us about their scout’s information.
